Pic2shop & RedLaser are already providing Augmented shopping experiences: scan barcode with cam and it then searches Internet for best price.

Ollie Bray

There are a few things that do this. I think that we will see Apps that make more use of the GPS feature eg: geo-aware shopping. You will scan a barcode and it will give you the web price but also tell you where products are cheaper in the local area. This type of App will really capitalize on the impulse buying of lots of people who can’t be bothered to wait for delivery.

Nice predictions OB.

Best wishes for 2010!

Tess :-)
