At the weekend I started a piece of personal research about web tools in schools and local education authorities.
All of the work has been crowd sourced via my personal learning network and I haven’t actually complied any of the data myself. My role is just to ask some questions.
My initial question was, ‘What web based tools can you use to enhance learning and teaching in the classroom?’
I was expecting to get about 30 responses but when I checked the form in the evening I had over 70!
I complied the final list as a Google Document and you can view it here – there were a number of tools that I hadn’t heard of so the document is definitely worth a look! I’m not endorsing any of these tools, if they appear on the list it just means someone from my PLN thinks there are important to education and therefore they are worth checking out.
I am now in the process of asking any teachers from around Scotland to fill in a second form to see if they can access the list from within there school or LEA. Why don’t you see if you can contribute here?
I hope the data will put me in a better position to be able to contribute to conferences when I am out working in local education authorities.
