This is a great use of G Earth, breaking it into sections. I like the idea of generating posters with famous places being positioned relative to the school. An interesting outcome for all.

Another good post. I set HW for S1, after three periods with sketchup they have to model up their own home and upload it for all to see when we browse the earth. I'm sure your CDT dept use Sketchup.

I'm going to try this with my S1 classrd. We have 4 Australian exchange students with us, so there could be some useful opportunities to use Google Earth to compare and contrast images of Scotland and Australia.
