I have always enjoyed Hans Rosling's TED talks and think his Gapminder Invention (now owned by Google) is simply an amazing way to visualize data. Rosling was included in my list of sources of inspiration as part of my Merlin John Interview earlier in the year.

BBC LEARNING SCOTLAND wants your ideas for a short film to tell the story about your local landscape.
And if your idea is selected you'll win a development workshop for your school as well as a BBC director and crew to film your story.
It doesn't matter if your landscape story is historical or modern, pure geography or a bit social-political and the BBC want to hear from you! and so do I because I'm judgeing the entries!
The process is easy...
The closing date is the May 25th, 2010 and we hope to be out filming in the summer holidays.
