I was out in Brussels last week doing a few things different things. But one of the things I enjoyed the most was a morning working with the Pan-European Youth Panel looking at the future development of some Internet Safety and Responsible Use Resources.
Each year, every National Safer Internet Centre invites one of their national youth panellists to attend the Pan-European Youth Panel. Here, young people aged between 12 and 18 years are brought together to discuss current issues related to Internet and modern media.
Anyway we ran the workshop in the Future Classroom Lab in Brussels. The Future Classroom Lab is somewhere that I have been planning to visit for a while (and I’ve almost made it on a number of occasions!). It felt a bit like walking into the RM Real Centre (not a bad thing) and it was great to be reminded of some of the flexible furniture and options that are available for schools as long as you have a bit of imagination!
Here are some photos of the space below. We are in the early stages developing a number of interesting spaces at Kingussie High School and we will borrow some of our ideas from Brussels (as well as other places from around the world).
