I showed this video to a class last week. At 7mins it’s a bit longer than the normal ‘thought piece’ that I often show them. If you haven’t seen it, it is worth a watch and you can skip through it in stages to get the idea of what it going on – BUT make sure you watch it all to the end!
Anyway, I showed the whole video to my class. We were talking about study skills, learning-to-learn, concentration, achieving what we set out minds on… if you work in a school, you know the sort of thing!
It was great to watch the class at the watch the video. There was the normal under-murmur / whisper of ‘this is boring’, and ‘what is she doing’. But by the end there was complete silence and even a small clap at he end of the film.
Worth a watch – there are lots of ways it can be used in the classroom.
Funny to think that some schools and local education authorities (school districts) still block YouTube and other wonderful learning resources for our learners…
