Pretty much everyone I know has seen Google Street View - but for the 2010 Olympics Google has taken things one step further by using street view imagery technology to capture some of the Olympic venues.

What a a great way to explore the different Olympic venues with your class or to use the images from the ski runs for a great piece of immersive or creative writing. As with all Street View imagery you can even embed the footage in a blog or website or view from within Google Earth.
