I’ve been big fan of Mission Explore ever since Alan, Dan and Dave told me about it a while ago – it’s a fantastic concept that has the potential to have real impact.
"Mission:Explore is a project to engage (young) people with geography through playful and thought provoking missions. Mission:Explore encourages people to explore new places in alternative ways and in doing so, see the world with a different view.
Led by The Geography Collective (a national partnership of geography teachers, academics, adventurers, activists and artists) its aim is to enthuse people with geography in a radically new way. While at the same time tackling some critical issues of our time, not least challenging our increasingly risk averse culture."
The book comes out in March but I see that George the Gorilla (You Tube Video Below) has recently been out in London practicing some of the missions. Great stuff!

I love it!!!!!!
