I was speaking to a group of parent’s yesterday evening at Dunbar Primary School about Internet Safety and Responsible Use. The presentation was well received and there were lots of interesting questions after the presentation.
The on-line handout for the presentation
can be found at: http://edubuzz.org/blogs/internetsafety/ There are also some other notes from the talks we did in 2008
that you can find here.
On the subject of CEOP and on-line safety. CEOP have now developed their
official YOU Tube Channel (http://uk.youtube.com/user/ceop).
I was also recently reminded
of this nice little film that could be used as a lesson started or focus for
discussion.
Also don’t forget its Safer Internet Day
on the 10th
February 2009 – so make sure that your school is involved!

Oh great... Online information and advice from CEOP is now available on YouTube.
If only non-East Lothian pupils could access it!
BTW: I love that sldie of the kid in the helmet browsing the net!
