I was in Glasgow
today at the 2007 Scottish Education Awards, sponsored by the Daily Record. Musselburgh Grammar School had been
short listed for the ‘Schools for All’ Award.
In the end Dundonald Primary took the final trophy but it was a real privilege
to make it to the top three schools and we had a great day. We also really appreciated
the £500 prize money for getting this far and the goody bags!
The event was exceptionally well organised and along with the three students that I took with me, we had a great time. The ceremony was slick, the music was excellent, the lunch was great and guy inside the big green balloon was entertaining (and just a little strange!).
One other great bit of news for East Lothian is that Ann McLanachan Head teacher from Longniddry Primary School was given the lifetime achievement award.

Well done to everyone at the school for even getting that far
