Last Thursday I had the opportunity to attend the launch of the new Volunteer Development East Lothian (VDEL) web site. As current chair of VDEL it has been a great privilege to watch the organisation grow over the past few years. In particular I have been impressed with the increase in the work we have been doing with young people in schools and the community.
I was also delighted to hear on Thursday that we have received conformation that we will get another 12 months worth of funding to help with the project that we are working on to support homeless young people. We have also been working closely with a number of schools including Musselburgh, Knox and are part of the Preston Lodge ALPs project, through one of our youth projects MOBEX.
