When I took up this acting appointment I made plan for the year and also set myself some goals. I built in evaluation into this plan. My chosen evaluation for the October break is a SWOT analysis of my role so far (SWOT: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats). At Christmas time I will ask colleagues to help me carry out a 360 degree review.
I often reflect on my practice. Like most people I want to be able to do a good job and I have to be able to rely on feedback from others to help me do this. In the past few days I have been faced with a couple of situations that have made me become even more reflective and ask some important questions.
These questions included:
- Am I supportive to pupils and staff?
- Am I effective?
- Am I efficient?
- Am I approachable?
- Plus several others…..
Anyway, as well as my SWOT analysis and 360 review what other review tools does anybody know about for analysing and helping you reflect on your performance?
